Serious Business

Okay, granted, the “Before I Die…” picture is a bit dramatic, but some clever retailer though it was a good idea to focus his clients’ minds on the real important stuff, and that’s not a bad thing. It got our attention, didn’t it?! (There’s a sign above it that says “Cocktails”! Priorities.)

Maybe we’re not at that ultimate moment in your life or mine, but I’m sure you’ll agree that business is sometimes a “Do or Die” endeavor, and I treat your work with that kind of seriousness (and enthusiasm to get things done).

Yes, it’s all gotta get done, sooner or later, but better that we do it sooner than later.

On the Docket

Everyone has a “To-Do” list, which is probably as thick as the stack of papers in the picture below. Let’s attack it together, and you’ll feel 100% more energetic for your mission when you get the annoying stuff out of the way.

These are things on the docket of your life or business, and the more they remain in the nebulous mental realm of “Things I Gotta Do” the more they create anxiety. It’s far better to list them, which concretizes them, and becomes the first step toward getting them done.

From Anxiety to Conquest

The sample “To Do” list below may look like yours, or it may not, but you undoubtedly have a list and may even have many more items on it. The point is that once you get them down on paper, they look less threatening.

And once these formerly-anxiety-causing-phantoms are reduced to little scribbles on paper, they become manageable. Once they are manageable, they become conquerable.

And once you conquer them, you are much freer to go forth with your plans of conquering the whole world…or at least taking the next hill in your own war against time and entropy.

Divide and Conquer This List

Here’s a random sampling of various things that my clients in the past (and present) have complained about. They need to get off your plate.

  • Set up a system for my office
  • Organize computer files
  • Organize files on desk
  • Do invoices
  • Set up new customers’ files
  • Proofread email newsletter
  • Get receipts ready for CPA
  • Return yesterday’s phone calls
  • Get bid ready
  • Make list of supplies needed
  • Get regular or routine work done
  • Spend more time with my family

If any of these things sound familiar to you, let me help you work on that list and get them DONE. I’m known for knocking these things out of the park.
